Villeroy & Boch Clever Cooking: mac and cheese with braised onions and bacon and cheese crust
Pasta is always ok. Cheese too, especially melted or baked. And with Bacon everything tastes better anyway! And welcome to a new episode of "Soulfood from my kitchen". Because honestly - pasta, cheese and bacon in a dish? That can only be good! We are talking about Mac and Cheese here. But not just like that, but in a version with stewed onions and a delicious bacon and cheese crust! Well, how does that sound? A simple recipe can already be found here: Mac'n'Cheese.
Mac and Cheese out of the oven
Granted, you have to do a few things to prepare the dish. The onions are braised slowly, the cheese sauce has to cook a bit to lose the flour flavor and for the crust, bacon must be left out. But all the steps are worth it, because you will be rewarded with a huge portion of delicious and creamy Mac and Cheese. Remains can be wonderfully stored in the refrigerator or frozen. And because you can easily get 6 servings, you can plan well.

So opulent sometimes it can be while eating and the ingredients may be, with the dishes and the decoration I like rather minimalist. I'm a big fan of plain white dishes with clear shapes and colors. And that's how the Clever Cooking collection from Villeroy & Boch * fits my taste!
Clean design meets practical features: Clever Cooking!
The different types of bakeware are simple and clean, and are incredibly functional ! Thus, the matching Servierplatten to the baking molds can simultaneously use as a coaster for the hot baking pan, use as a separate baking pan or hang up as a lid. Matching silicone lids cover the molds airtight, so you can store leftovers in the refrigerator or reheat in the microwave. In addition, the dishes are all heat resistant up to 260 degrees and can also be stored in the freezer up to a temperature of -30 degrees. Of course, everything is dishwasher safe and thanks to the "Easy-To-Clean" function, the ceramic can be cleaned very well. Burnt leftovers, adé!
